At Island Records, Marc’s leadership as the company’s Managing Director was marked by notable achievements, including winning 25% of all Mercury Music prizes awarded over two decades. He demonstrated an exceptional ability to spot and nurture talent, leading to 38 Top 10 singles, 18 of which reached #1 in the UK charts. His influence extended to the success of soundtracks for films like Angel Heart, Mississippi Burning, and “Notting Hill,” which sold over four million copies.
