Chief of Assets

The Chief of Assets is a critical executive role responsible for shaping and overseeing the strategic direction of our asset portfolio. Directly reporting to the CEO, this position requires a visionary leader with extensive experience in managing a wide range of asset classes. The ideal candidate will spearhead the portfolio management team, drive investment strategies, and ensure the portfolio’s optimal performance, aligning with our overarching investment goals.Â

- Analyze financial data and market trends to identify opportunities and risks across various asset classes, including equities, fixed income, commodities, and alternative investments.Â
- Monitor global economic indicators, policy changes, and geopolitical events that could impact financial markets.Â
- Evaluate investor sentiment and expectations through surveys, market indicators, and other qualitative tools.Â
- Conduct sector and industry analysis to assess business conditions and their potential impact on asset valuations.Â
- Develop and maintain financial models to forecast asset class performance under various scenarios.Â
- Collaborate with portfolio managers and strategists to incorporate analysis findings into investment decisions and asset allocation recommendations.Â
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations that clearly communicate research findings and investment implications to internal stakeholders and clients.Â
- Stay abreast of advancements in financial analysis methodologies and tools.
- Educational and Professional Credentials: Advanced Master’s or Post-graduate degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related fields. An MBA, CFA, CAIA, or similar designations highly preferred.Â
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years in a senior role and leadership capacity across asset management, investment banking, or similar fields, including a background with Big Four consulting firms (PwC, Deloitte, KPMG, EY) or similar prestigious consulting organisations.Â
- Executive Leadership and Team Management: Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a high-performing portfolio management team.Â
- CxO Exposure: Extensive experience and comfort in operating within high-stakes executive environments, demonstrating the ability to navigate complex organizational dynamics effectively.Â
- Board-Level Communication: Exceptional communication skills, with a proven track record of articulating strategic visions, investment insights, and performance reports at the board level, ensuring clarity, impact, and strategic alignment.Â
- Notable Gravitas: The successful candidate will possess the inherent gravitas required to command respect and influence across all levels of the organization, including CxO-level and board interactions.Â
- Strategic Asset Management: Demonstrated experience in formulating and executing asset management strategies across diverse asset classes.Â
- Market Analysis and Investment Acumen: Comprehensive understanding of market trends, economic indicators, and ability to identify investment opportunities.Â
- Stakeholder Engagement: Strong capability in engaging with investors, fund managers, and advisors, effectively communicating strategies and performance.Â
- Public Speaking and Media Relations: Strong public speaking skills and the ability to represent the company effectively in media interviews and at industry conferences, enhancing the firm’s visibility and reputation.Â
- Native or near-native English fluency. Â
- Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management: Advanced understanding of global regulatory environments and the ability to navigate complex compliance landscapes effectively.Â
- Innovative Thinking: Ability to identify and implement innovative investment strategies and solutions, demonstrating creative problem-solving skills.Â
- Strategic Partnerships Development: Experience in building and maintaining strategic partnerships with other firms, government entities, or international organisations to leverage investment opportunities.Â
